VO2 Max testing, as conducted by LBSM, is an exhaustive process that evaluates a person's aerobic fitness and health levels. The procedure requires the patient to exercise to the point of exhaustion while breathing through a face mask. The test can be carried out either on a Watt bike or a treadmill. The intensity of the exercise gradually increases until the participant reaches maximal effort. The face mask measures the volume of air breathed in and out during exercise, enabling the calculation of how much oxygen the individual can consume during maximal effort.
