This service essentially covers the weekly rental of a Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS) specifically, the Dexcom G4 Platinum. It takes a comprehensive and personalized approach to managing diabetes, with an emphasis on education, participation, and empowerment of the patient. The rental includes the use of a single-use Dexcom G4 Platinum sensor along with the renting of a transmitter and receiver.
Included
- The price covers the cost for the rental of a Dexcom G4 Platinum CGMS on a weekly basis.
- This includes the usage of a new sensor, the transmitter and the receiver. Moreover, patients will also receive personalized education, advice and support through a variety of Diabetes Care Programmes. An experienced consultant who specializes in diabetes will manage the service.
- Support will also be given by an expert multi-disciplinary team which comprises a diabetes specialist nurse and dietitian.
Not included
- The rental price doesn't include any medical interventions or treatments for diabetes.
- It may also not cover costs for additional testing supplies, batteries for the devices, or any other potentially related medical expenses.
- Medications, glucose test strips and insulin are not included in the packace
